Moscow and St. Petersburg together present a compelling introduction to Russia’s cultural and historical grandeur. Moscow offers a dynamic blend of modern energy and imperial heritage, while St. Petersburg captivates with its elegant canals, palaces and European-influenced architecture. Both cities showcase Russia’s rich traditions, vibrant urban life, and distinctive artistic legacy, making the journey a well-rounded immersion into the country’s character.
Upon arrival at Moscow Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and the remainder of the day at leisure.
After breakfast, you will begin a panoramic excursion of Moscow with stops at the city’s most renowned landmarks, including Poklonnaya Hill, New Maiden Convent, and Vorobievy Hills. You will also drive past notable sites such as Tverskaya Street, Manezhnaya Square, Ohotny Riad, the Bolshoi Theatre, Lubyanka Square, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, and the Kremlin and Kropotkinskaya embankments (no entrances). This will be followed by an excursion to the Kremlin, the historic and political centre of Moscow where coronation ceremonies of the tsars once took place and where rulers before Peter the Great are buried. The tour concludes with a walk through the iconic Red Square. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, you will transfer to the railway station to board a day train to St. Petersburg. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in St. Petersburg.
After breakfast, you will proceed on an excursion to Pushkin to visit Catherine’s Palace, including the world-famous Amber Room. Established in 1718 as the summer residence of Russian empresses, the palace showcases baroque, classical, and rococo interiors, many of which were reconstructed after the damage caused during World War II. In the afternoon, you will embark on a panoramic city excursion with stops at key attractions such as the Spit of Basil Island, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Palace Square, the Church of the Saviour on the Spilled Blood, the Cruiser Aurora, and more, accompanied by a drive along Nevsky Prospect and the Neva embankments. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
