Enjoy a journey through Japan featuring a Lake Kawaguchiko boat ride, city tours of Tokyo and Kyoto, and visits to Shinjuku, Gion, and Dotonbori. Day 01

Arrive in Tokyo. Transfer by shuttle bus to the hotel. At 18:00 hrs, meet your guide. In the evening, experience Tokyo’s metro (ticket included) followed by a visit to Shinjuku, one of Tokyo’s busiest and most vibrant districts. Dinner included. Return to hotel by metro.
Note: The Shinjuku visit may be on Day 01 or Day 02 depending on arrival time.

Day 02

Start with a 5-hour guided city tour. Photostop at Zojoji Temple with views of Tokyo Tower. See the famed Shibuya Crossing, visit Meiji Shrine, drive along Omotesando Avenue, and edge the Imperial Palace Gardens before stopping at Nijubashi Bridge. Pass Akihabara, Kokugikan Sumo Stadium, and visit Sensoji Temple, the oldest in Tokyo, with time to explore Nakamise Street. Lunch included. Afternoon free at leisure.

Day 03

Travel toward Fuji. Visit Iyashi No Sato Nenba village and admire Shiraito Falls. Continue to Nagoya to visit the Toyota Museum (entry included). Proceed to Kyoto and check-in.

Day 04

Discover Kyoto, former imperial capital (794–1868). In Arashiyama, cross Togetsukyo Bridge, visit Tenryu-ji Temple (UNESCO) and walk through the Bamboo Forest. Continue to Fushimi Inari Shrine, Imperial Palace, and Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion). Free time before a visit to Gion, a traditional Geisha district.

Day 05

Depart for Nara. Visit Todai-ji Temple with the Great Buddha and deer park. Lunch included. Stop at Horyu-ji Temple (UNESCO), home to some of the world’s oldest wooden structures. Continue to Osaka; explore Dotonbori in the evening. Overnight in Osaka.

Day 06

Mount Shosa – Himeji – Okayama
Travel to Mount Shosa and visit Engyo-ji Temple (cable car included), filming site of “The Last Samurai.” Continue to Himeji Castle (entry included). Lunch included. Proceed to Okayama and visit Korakuen Garden, famed for lakes, waterfalls and teahouses.

Day 07

Stop in Kurashiki to explore its preserved historical district. Continue to Hiroshima for a visit to the Peace Memorial Park, A-Bomb Dome, and Peace Museum. Ferry to Miyajima Island to visit Itsukushima Shrine. Free time to explore. Return to Hiroshima. Dinner included.

Day 08

Transfer to Hiroshima station for the bullet train to Tokyo (approx. 4 hours). Arrival around 14:00 hrs. End of services.
Airport transfer not included. Guide will advise best public transport. If additional nights in Tokyo are booked, station-to-hotel transfer is not included.
