Ski areas are subject to changing weather and road conditions. Resorts can't always open the ski season as planned. If you are into winter sports and are looking for guaranteed snow, mid-January to mid-March is the best time to visit Switzerland. You don't have to be a skier to enjoy the splendid alpine vistas.
