Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Umm Qays, once one of the Decapolis cities, perched on a hilltop overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Sea of Galilee. Continue to Pella, home to remains of a Chalcolithic settlement from the 4th millennium BC, along with Bronze and Iron Age walled cities. Proceed to Ajloun to explore its 12th-century castle, built by ‘Izz ad-Din Usama bin Munqidh, a general under Saladin who defeated the Crusaders in 1187. Later, visit Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. Return to Amman for overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. Explore Amman, a sprawling city across 19 hills, blending ancient and modern influences. Proceed to Madaba to see the 6th-century mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land at the Orthodox Church of Saint George. Continue to Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land. Later, drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth at over 400 meters (1,312 ft.) below sea level, and enjoy floating in its mineral-rich, super-salty waters. Return to Amman for overnight stay.
After breakfast, transfer to Kerak to explore its impressive Crusader castle, an outstanding example of medieval military architecture. Continue to Dana Nature Reserve, showcasing diverse landscapes from wooded highlands to sand dunes. Proceed to Shobak, a historic Crusader fortress once called “Mont Real.” Arrive in Petra and check in at your hotel. Overnight at Petra hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the day exploring Petra, Jordan’s crown jewel and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Discover this vast city carved into rose-red cliffs by the Nabateans, including its famous Siq, Treasury, Royal Tombs, and ancient facades. Overnight at Petra hotel.
After breakfast, visit Beidha (Little Petra), a smaller Nabatean settlement with tombs, water channels, and a short trail leading to its inner areas. Continue to Wadi Rum for a 2-hour 4x4 jeep tour through dramatic desert landscapes, towering rock formations, and wind-sculpted mountains. Return to Amman for overnight stay.
