Arrival in Helsinki. Transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day to familiarize yourself with this splendid city. Overnight stay at hotel in Helsinki.
In the morning go on a sightseeing tour of Helsinki (SIC) during which you will see the historical centre and the diplomatic quarters, the Presidential Palace, City Hall, the Parliament Buildings, Finland Hall and the Opera House. Stop at Senate Square, the Sibelius Monument and at the Temppeliaukio Church in the rocks. The tour ends in the city centre. In the early afternoon it is time to board the Silja Line cruise ship for the crossing to Stockholm. Enjoy a Scandinavian buffet dinner on the ship. After dinner you can dance the night away in the nightclub, linger in the various shops, or enjoy the scenery. Accommodation on board in comfortable 2-berth cabins (B, D)
Enjoy a sumptuous Scandinavian breakfast buffet before arriving in Stockholm, but make sure to be out on deck as the ship sails into the beautiful Stockholm harbour. With its 24000 islands, the Stockholm archipelago is quite unique. Disembark in Stockholm and go to your hotel to check in. Rest of the day familiarize yourself with Stockholm City. After breakfast, go for a sightseeing tour (SIC). Stockholm is often called the “Beauty on Water” being built on 14 islands. See the City Hall (outside), constructed in the National Romantic style where each year on December 10th the Nobel price banquette takes place. See the Old Town, which is in direct contrast with today’s modern city centre. The rest of the afternoon is free to wander around on your own. You have time to visit to the Vasa ship museum to see the warship Vasa – the only remaining, intact 17th century ship in the world. Overnight stay at hotel in Stockholm (B).
After breakfast go to the railway station and take train from Stockholm to Oslo. After arrival at Oslo, go to the hotel and check in. Rest of the day to familiarize yourself with Oslo city. Overnight stay in Oslo. (B)
After breakfast go on a sightseeing tour of Oslo (SIC). On this tour you can experience; Downtown Oslo, Vigeland Sculpture Park, Holmenkollen & Viking Ship Museum. At your own choice: Fram, Kon-Tiki or Norwegian Maritime Museum. Photo stop at the opera. In the afternoon, you will take comfortable bus from Oslo to Gothenburg. Gothenburg is the second largest city in Sweden.Overnight stay at hotel in Gothenburg.(B)
After a good breakfast at the hotel you will go on a sightseeing tour to learn more about this friendly city, founded in the 17th century by the king Gustav Adolf II. In the 18th century the city become rich because of the East India Company ´s trading with India and China. Göteborg is today the seat for multinational companies like Volvo, Eriksson, Astra-Zeneca and SKF. Göteborg is also Scandinavia's biggest port and has a lively fish-harbour. In the afternoon you will travel by bus from Gothenburg to Copenhagen. You will travel along the beautiful Swedish west coast and pass many small towns. From Malmö in Sweden you drive over the long Öresund Bridge to Copenhagen on the Danish side. Copenhagen’s one- thousand-year history has been written by ambitious kings, inspiring artists and celebrated designers as is evident in its historical buildings, ancient streets, dozens of world-class museums and galleries. Later go on a guided sightseeing tour of Copenhagen. Some of the fascinating sites include the new harbour of Nyhavn, the Royal Palace Amalienborg, the Gefion fountain and the wistful Little Mermaid. After breakfast go on a sightseeing tour of Copenhagen (SIC). On the tour we pass by the Tivoli Gardens and the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. We drive through the colourful canal district, past the National Museum and past ChristiansborgPalace, home to the Danish Parliament. We continue on to The Old Stock Exchange and across Kongens Nytorv, where we can see the Royal Theatre, world famous for its Royal Ballet. The tour continues past the colourful harbour district of Nyhavn to Amalienborg Palace - winter residence of the Royal Family. Here we have the opportunity of seeing the changing of the Danish Royal Guard. This is followed by a visit to the Gefion Fountain and The Little Mermaid, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale. During the tour we pay a visit to one of the many magnificent churches in Copenhagen as well as we pass by Rosenborg Castle, where the Crown Jewels are protected by the Royal Guard.
