South Africa is situated at the southernmost tip of the African continent, offering a unique blend of dramatic coastlines, diverse landscapes, and rich cultural heritage. The country is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Indian Ocean to the south and east, creating an extensive and scenic shoreline. To the north, South Africa shares its borders with Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe, while Mozambique and Eswatini (Swaziland) lie to the northeast. This strategic geographic location contributes to South Africa’s remarkable natural diversity, ranging from golden beaches and rugged mountains to vast savannahs and renowned wildlife reserves.
Arrive at Cape Town International Airport, where you will be met by your English-speaking driver and transferred privately to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or explore the surroundings at your own pace.
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day Cape Town City and Table Mountain Tour. Ascend South Africa’s iconic flat-topped Table Mountain by cable car (at your own expense) and take in panoramic views of the city. After descending, continue your city tour, visiting key attractions such as the Diamond Works and the colorful Malay Quarter on Signal Hill. Return to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Today, embark on a full-day tour of the spectacular Cape Peninsula. Travel along the scenic coastline to Hout Bay, where you may opt for a boat trip to Duiker Island (at own expense). Continue to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, with time at leisure to explore the area. Take a return funicular ride to the top of Cape Point and proceed to Simon’s Town on the eastern side of the peninsula, home to a famous colony of African penguins. On the return journey, enjoy a stop for a leisurely walk through the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
After breakfast, depart for Hermanus, renowned as one of the best land-based whale-watching destinations and home to the Southern Right Whales. Upon arrival, spend the rest of the day at leisure enjoying the coastal charm of the town.
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Hermanus. You may choose from a variety of optional activities or simply relax and explore the town at your own pace.
After breakfast, depart privately for the Garden Route, a region known for its lush forests, scenic landscapes, and tranquil lagoons. In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. Cruise towards the Knysna Heads aboard a comfortable, cozy boat with a classic wooden design, and soak in the stunning views.
After breakfast, proceed on a private day excursion to Oudtshoorn. Experience the Little Karoo at its best, a truly scenic wonder of Africa. The tour includes visits to the magnificent limestone formations of the Cango Caves, an ostrich farm where you can see and touch an ostrich, and the Cheetah Wildlife Ranch, home to white tigers, lions, cheetahs, crocodiles, and many other animals. Return to your hotel in the evening.
Enjoy the day at leisure with various optional activities available, or relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Garden Route.
Today, you will be transferred privately to George Airport for your flight to Johannesburg (flight excluded; departure to be before 12:00 noon). Upon arrival, proceed to the complimentary hotel shuttle service pick-up point and transfer to your hotel for check-in.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer by the complimentary hotel shuttle service to OR Tambo International Airport for your onward flight back home.
